Samcheok Culture & Arts Center at 7:00 PM on October 13... Free admission for all citizens

Samcheok City will hold the "Evening of Art Songs" as an eve event for the 32nd Samcheok Citizen's Day at 7:00 PM on October 13, the day before the anniversary, at the Grand Performance Hall of the Samcheok Culture & Arts Center.

This performance was planned to provide citizens with an opportunity to enjoy culture and arts in celebration of Samcheok Citizen's Day on October 14, and to create a space for communication through music.

Renowned artists who have built extensive experience in domestic and international operas and concerts will take the stage, including baritone Ko Sung-hyun, tenor Ryu Jeong-pil, and soprano Kang Hye-jung. Mezzo-soprano Kim Yeon-jae, a native of Samcheok currently working as a soloist for the Korea National Opera, and the Samcheok City Choir will also join to deliver the deep resonance of Korean and Italian art songs.

The performance will open with the Samcheok City Choir performing "Spring Breeze Girls" and "Beautiful Rivers and Mountains." Following this, they will present a variety of songs such as "Leaning on Time," "Song of Autumn," "The River of My Heart," "Amidst Flower Clouds," "To the Land of Hope," and "Nostalgia," sharing the lyrical charm and appeal of vocal music with the citizens.

Admission is free, and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 3:00 PM on the day of the event.

An official from Samcheok City stated, "In celebration of the 32nd Samcheok Citizen's Day, we have prepared a stage where citizens can enjoy art songs and vocal music up close," adding, "We hope families and neighbors will visit the concert hall together to enjoy the diverse songs presented by the performers."
