Busan Tourism Organization Holds the "2026 Busan Tourism Idea Contest"

Submissions accepted until October 31 under the theme "Global Tourism City Busan Created Together with AI"


The Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jeong-sil, hereinafter referred to as the "Organization") announced on the 7th that it will host the "2026 Busan Tourism Idea Contest" to discover fresh ideas for Busan tourism and reflect the diverse opinions of citizens and tourists in its tourism policies and projects.

Under the theme "Global Tourism City Busan Created Together with AI," anyone interested in Busan tourism can participate in this contest. The submission categories consist of five areas: ▲ AI-driven Busan Tourism Innovation (Designated Task), ▲ Development of Unique Busan Tourism Content and Products, ▲ Creation of Global Tourism City Busan, ▲ Improvement of Tourist-Centered Services, and ▲ ESG-based Sustainable Busan Tourism.

In particular, this year has selected AI technology-driven Busan tourism innovation as a designated task to collect various ideas that can enhance tourist convenience and discover differentiated tourism services and content unique to Busan.

The submission period runs from October 1 to October 31. Participants can download the contest proposal form from the Busan Tourism Organization website, fill it out, and submit it via email to the person in charge.

Through the evaluation process, a total of four entries will be selected: 1 Grand Prize, 1 Top Excellence Award, and 2 Excellence Awards. Winners will receive a certificate from the President of the Busan Tourism Organization along with prize money of 500,000 KRW for the Grand Prize, 300,000 KRW for the Top Excellence Award, and 200,000 KRW for the Excellence Award.

An official from the Busan Tourism Organization stated, "Through this contest, we will discover creative and diverse ideas from citizens and tourists, and strive to connect them with new Busan tourism content and services that can respond to the changing tourism environment," adding, "We ask for active participation from many people who are interested in Busan tourism."
