The Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation announced that it will host the 10th regular rental exhibition, , from September 30 to October 11 at CN Gallery (56-7 Bukchon-ro 5-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul), the Chungcheongnam-do Seoul Exhibition Hall for Culture and Arts.

Artist Kim Jung-hyun, the featured artist for this 10th regular rental exhibition, offers a fresh perspective on the relationship between architecture, humanity, and time through clay. Continuing her ceramic work characterized by warm comfort and a unique style, she has gained recognition for her artistic merit, including winning the GCB Award at the 2026 Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale in Icheon.

Clay is a material that flexibly transforms depending on the hands and tools used. Recognizing the potential of ceramics to “express everything in the world” through these characteristics, artist Kim Jung-hyun recreated the textures of architectural structures using ceramics as a foundation as part of her work.

Just as no matter how solidly built an architectural structure is, it cannot avoid weathering and blemishes, individuals who live pursuing perfection also possess vulnerable aspects. Through this exhibition, , artist Kim Jung-hyun connects the imperfect traces of architectural structures—such as cracks, wear, and weathering—with human frailty.

Through a repeated process of firing and polishing, artist Kim Jung-hyun embodies textures that appear naturally weathered. The artworks in look like solidly positioned buildings from a distance, but upon closer inspection, minute cracks and wobbles can be observed. This alludes to the lives of individuals who face limits and fragility the more they strive for perfection.

Human beings can finally reach true sanctuary when they accept and let go of their own vulnerabilities. This exhibition, , is a place to share in that act of letting go. Through the works of artist Kim Jung-hyun, visitors are invited to confront the wavering within themselves and gain small sanctuaries and peace from within.

The exhibition is open to the public for free at CN Gallery, with operating hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The gallery is closed every Monday and on public holidays.
