Attending the Opening Ceremony of the 107th National Sports Festival, Aiming for 8th Overall Place

On the 16th, Daejeon City attended the opening ceremony of the 107th National Sports Festival held at the Jeju World Cup Stadium in Seogwipo-si, Jeju, and delivered words of encouragement to the Daejeon delegation.

Daejeon City is participating with a total delegation of 1,714 people—including 1,131 athletes and 583 officials across 50 events—with the goal of achieving 8th place overall.

Kwon Kyung-min, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, stated, “I hope that our Daejeon athletes, who have prepared by sweating through hard work, will display their honed skills to the fullest with the pride of representing Daejeon.” He added, “Alongside the 1.45 million citizens of Daejeon, we will cheer for the delegation until the end so that they can achieve great results without injury.”

Meanwhile, during the competition period, Daejeon City plans to collaborate with the Daejeon Sports Council to focus on managing the athletes' condition and providing on-site support.
