The Bucheon Astronomical Science Museum announced that it will host its "Starlight Festival" on October 17, operating from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. This event is designed to help family visitors and citizens interested in astronomy easily and enjoyably explore space and astronomical science through a variety of hands-on activities.

The event is packed with diverse programs tailored for both daytime and nighttime enjoyment. Until 5:30 PM, visitors can participate in six different programs, including solar observation, crafting activities, and screenings of the astronomical education animation series Kits the Stray Cat. In the observation room, visitors can observe the Sun during the day, followed by direct nighttime observations of celestial objects visible in the autumn night sky, such as the Moon and Saturn, starting at 8:00 PM.

Throughout the event, smartphone-accessible QR games will also be featured. Consisting of two games—"Bucheon Astronomy Golden Bell" and "Planet Watermelon Game"—prizes and small souvenirs will be awarded to the winners.

A representative from the Bucheon Astronomical Science Museum stated, "The Starlight Festival has been prepared to allow citizens to experience astronomical science easily and funly through various observations and activities from day to night. We hope it becomes a wonderful time for families to look up at the autumn night sky together and cultivate their interest and curiosity about the universe."
