Daejeon City launches two Korail-linked football and bakery pilgrimage tours in October and November

— Tailored for Daejeon Hana Citizen's AFC Champions League Elite home matches —

Daejeon City is introducing the "Korail-Linked Daejeon Football & Bakery Pilgrimage Tour" for spectators attending the "2026-27 AFC Champions League Elite" matches.

This program is designed to give out-of-town football fans traveling to Daejeon by train an opportunity to experience a "bread tour" showcasing Daejeon's signature specialty—its famous pastries—while ensuring convenient transportation to the stadium following the tour.

Any AFC Champions League spectator visiting Daejeon via Korail train is eligible to apply, and participants will receive complimentary Daejeon tour vehicle support.

The tour course, dubbed the "Daejeon Bbang-Bbang Rail Tour," runs as a 4-hour itinerary starting at 2:00 PM from the Daejeon Travel Lounge. It takes visitors through renowned local bakeries in downtown Daejeon, including Cold Butter Bake Shop (City Hall Branch), California Bakery, Le Pain 99-1, and Yeon Sun-heum Bakery.

After finishing the tour, participants will board dedicated tour vehicles and arrive conveniently at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium by 6:00 PM, just ahead of kickoff.

This linked tourism program will operate a total of twice, coinciding with Daejeon Hana Citizen’s AFC Champions League Elite home matches:

1st Tour: Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 19:00 (vs. Vissel Kobe)
2nd Tour: Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 19:00 (vs. Beijing Guoan)

Tours depart upon reaching a minimum of 20 participants per session, and interested spectators can apply through the Naver advance reservation system.

Kwon Kyung-min, Director-General of Culture, Sports, and Tourism for Daejeon City, stated, "This program is a well-rounded course where visitors can simultaneously experience the convenience of train travel, the fun of Daejeon’s bakery pilgrimage, and the passionate energy of football. We hope football fans nationwide create wonderful memories in Daejeon."

Detailed program information and advance reservations are available through Living International Co., Ltd. (042-254-4455) or the Naver Reservation page (https://booking.naver.com/booking/5/bizes/840534/items/8110991).
