No. 17 North Florida Beach Volleyball Completes Undefeated Home Slate with Three Straight Wins

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The No. 17 University of North Florida beach volleyball team concluded its home schedule unblemished after sweeping three matches on Saturday during the second day of the North Florida Invitational at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex.
The Ospreys (20-6) earned a pair of victories over Mercer by scores of 3-2 and 5-0 before sweeping local rival Jacksonville University, 5-0. With the three wins, North Florida finishes its home slate with a perfect 14-0 record, including 11 dual sweeps. UNF has been particularly dominant against Jacksonville (13-13) this season, earning 5-0 sweeps in all five meetings.
Prior to the start of the second dual against Mercer, North Florida honored its four seniors: Mariana Feliciano Sanchez, Emily Gunter, Taylor Pierce, and Hayden Wooldridge.
Meanwhile, the top-flight duo of Presley Murray and Mackenzie Murphy Jr. continued their stellar play, earning 2-0 victories in all three of their matches on the day. The pair improves to 20 wins on the season, all from the No. 1 position.
North Florida will hit the road for its next competition, traveling to Austin, Texas, for the Lone Star Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19.
