Hamyang County hosted a "2024 Hamyang County Agricultural Product Export Consultation with Chinese Buyers" on December 3rd at Insanga Training Center. Over 50 attendees, including Hamyang County Mayor Jin Byeong-yeong, Hamyang County Council Chairman Kim Yun-taek, and NongHyup Central Federation Hamyang County Branch Manager No Chun-seok, gathered to discuss potential export opportunities.
The event invited 13 Chinese companies and facilitated one-on-one export consultations with 16 local export companies, opening doors to the Chinese market. A dedicated exhibition space showcasing various export products from participating companies was set up to attract Chinese buyers.
As a result of these efforts, export contracts totaling $24,000 were signed with companies such as Jeonggane Food, Chaeyeonga, and Geunongbu. The initial shipment from these contracts will be used to gauge market reaction before entering into full-scale export agreements.
Furthermore, Hamyang County signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese import-export trading company, pledging continued cooperation to promote the export and sales of Hamyang agricultural products in China.
Hamyang County Mayor Jin Byeong-yeong stated, "Following our successful visit to the Chinese market in July, we actively sought out promising buyers and invited them to Hamyang. Building on this achievement, we will actively pursue marketing efforts to foster the growth of Hamyang agricultural product exports and increase the income of export companies."
