Zurich Indonesia Director Resigns Amidst Positive Company Performance

Jakarta, Indonesia – December 16, 2024 – PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk. today announced the resignation of one of its directors, Wayan Pariama. In a formal statement released today, the company confirmed that it had received a resignation letter from Pariama on December 12, 2024. The resignation will become effective upon approval at the upcoming General Shareholders Meeting, details of which will be announced separately.
Pariama was one of the company's five directors. The others include Edhi Edhi Tjahja Negara as President Director, Heriyanto Agung Putra as Deputy President Director, Editha Thalia Desiree, and Ashvin Shyam Uttamsingh as directors.
Positive Performance
Separately, Zurich Indonesia reported a positive performance, with a significant increase in gross written premium (GWP) as of October 2024. Country Manager and President Director Edhi Tjahja Negara attributed the growth to innovation and collaboration across all three business lines.
Despite challenges in the automotive industry, motor vehicle insurance continued to contribute significantly to Zurich's performance, with a 4% year-on-year growth in GWP for both conventional and syariah products. Zurich Travel Insurance also contributed positively to growth, with a 143% increase in policies, generating over Rp250 billion in GWP.
In the syariah business line, travel insurance remained a growth driver, with a 20% year-on-year increase in contributions and a 38% year-on-year increase in policies.
