Diverse Programs Tailored to the Characteristics of Youth Activity Spaces to be Fully Operational from April

Daejeon City is reinforcing youth-tailored programs that reflect the unique characteristics and needs of each youth activity space and will begin full-scale operation from April.

This program encompasses not only job preparation but also communication and hobby activities, aiming to practically support the diverse daily lives of young people.

Since 2018, the city has been establishing youth activity spaces to enable young people to engage in free and creative activities. Based on these spaces, it has continuously supported the enhancement of youth capabilities through the operation of various programs.

Currently operating youth activity spaces include ▲Cheongchun Dududu (B1-1F, 67 Galmajung-ro 30beon-gil, Seo-gu) ▲Cheongchun Neona Deuri (2F, 19 Dunsanjung-ro, Seo-gu) ▲Cheongchun Nadeulmok (B1, B3, 218 Jungang-ro, Daejeon Station, Dong-gu), totaling three locations.

These spaces function as complex youth activity platforms that go beyond study and meeting venues to support job and business start-up preparation, communication and network formation, and hobby and healing activities. In particular, starting this year, the Daejeon Youth Future Foundation will take over the entrusted operation and plans to operate specialized programs that reflect the characteristics of each space and the needs of young people.

‘Cheongchun Dududu’ is a culture and communication-centered space that will operate programs such as the Youth Cinema, Making Neighborhood Friends, Table Tennis Class, and Dududu Sports Playground, which are easily accessible for young people.

‘Cheongchun Neona Deuri’ focuses on family and healing, strengthening programs for young families such as Couple Communication Class, Couple Hobby Class, Kids' Photo Zone, and Youth Wedding Snap.

‘Cheongchun Nadeulmok’ is a space specialized in job and business start-up preparation, providing practical career support programs such as MBTI-based career exploration, job counseling, practical interview special lectures, interview image consulting, AI interview experience, and a youth photo studio.

Detailed information about the programs and how to participate can be found on the Daejeon Youth Portal (https://www.daejeonyouthportal.kr), and other inquiries can be directed to the Youth Support Center of the Daejeon Youth Future Foundation (☎042-719-8472).

Go Hyun-deok, Director of the Education Policy and Strategy Bureau of Daejeon City, stated, "Youth activity spaces should go beyond simply providing a place and become platforms where young people can proactively design their lives and experiment with various possibilities." He added, "We will continue to provide meticulous support so that these spaces can establish themselves as places that closely support the dreams and challenges of young people and support their practical growth."
