The Paraguayan Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) is actively pursuing the modernization of its industrial park regulations by benchmarking successful models in Argentina. A Paraguayan delegation, led by Vice Minister of Industry Marco Riquelme, recently visited the Province of Córdoba, Argentina, to inspect two prominent industrial parks and discuss collaboration with the provincial governor.

Key Highlights:

Benchmarking Successful Models:The delegation visited the "San Francisco Industrial and Technological Park," operational since 1971, and "Polo 52 Industrial Park," established four years ago. Their aim was to gain insights into public-private partnerships, technology, and logistics operations.
The San Francisco park, home to over 250 industries and technology companies, is considered a crucial reference point for Paraguay's industrial park development.
Regulatory Modernization:Leveraging the experience of Córdoba Province, which boasts over 60 operational industrial parks, the MIC plans to modernize Paraguay's industrial park legislation.
This initiative aims to provide businesses with the necessary infrastructure and services to thrive in a competitive environment.
Strengthening Cooperation:The delegation engaged in discussions with Córdoba Governor Martín Llaryora, exchanging experiences in industrial park development and exploring avenues for bilateral cooperation.
