Strengthening online and offline outreach through a provincial PR booth and personal social media channels
Chungcheongbuk-do announced that 30 members of its 9th Provincial Public Relations Ambassadors conducted an on-site promotional campaign on October 22 in connection with the 2026 Osong Cosmetics Beauty Expo held around Cheongju OSCO.
This campaign marks the first field-centered public relations activity since the launch of the 9th cohort of ambassadors. It was designed to promote Chungbuk’s major policies, culture, and tourism resources to expo visitors and participating companies, thereby increasing public interest and engagement in provincial administration.
At the site, the ambassadors actively engaged with visitors and corporate representatives by distributing promotional leaflets and souvenirs introducing major local tourism resources, policies, and international events, such as Cheongnamdae, the Medical Fee Post-payment Service, and the 2027 Chungcheong Universiade.
Additionally, a dedicated provincial PR booth was operated to host a roulette event for visitors who subscribed to Chungcheongbuk-do’s official social media channels, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and blogs. This allowed visitors to encounter major provincial policies and news in a friendly, approachable way.
Meanwhile, since October 4, members of the 9th Provincial Public Relations Ambassadors have been visiting major local events and festivals in small groups of two or more to promote provincial administration and Chungbuk’s tourism resources.
Alongside these field efforts, they are also actively carrying out online public relations through their personal social media accounts. Since September, they have been sharing information on major pending projects and events, such as the AI Transformation Festa 2026, Chuseok-related lifestyle information, recruitment for the Chungcheongbuk-do Youth Committee, Chungcheongbuk-do's free transit card for seniors, the 4th Carbon Neutral Culture Festival, and the 2026 Korea Forestry Expo.
Heo Chang-won, Spokesperson for Chungcheongbuk-do, stated, "Our public relations ambassadors serve as an essential communication channel that delivers major provincial policies, pending issues, and event information to citizens through both field promotions and personal social media. Taking the opportunity of this first on-site promotional campaign by the 9th cohort, we will further vitalize integrated online and offline PR activities to widely publicize Chungbuk’s outstanding policies, tourism resources, and major events, thereby strengthening communication with our citizens."
