KOTRA (President Kang Kyeong-seong) will host the 'Korea-India Future Automotive Partnering Plaza' in Chennai, India, on the 4th, providing an opportunity for Korean auto parts companies to explore possibilities for entering the Indian market, a next-generation global automobile production hub.
This event is a flagship project of KOTRA's Southwest Asia Regional Headquarters and is the only automotive cooperation project within India. KOTRA attracted global OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 buyers through cooperation among its Southwest Asia trade offices. One-on-one export consultations will be held between 30 Korean companies and 10 Indian OEM companies, including global players like Renault-Nissan and local brands such as Mahindra, which are increasing their market share in India. A strategy seminar for penetrating the Indian automotive market will also take place.
This year marks the third iteration of the event, and for the first time, the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) will participate, adding significance as a platform for cooperation between the automotive parts industries of Korea and India. Furthermore, Invest India (the Indian federal government's investment promotion agency) and Tamil Nadu Guidance (the Tamil Nadu state investment promotion agency) will also participate, holding seminars to introduce investment incentives in the Indian automotive sector and explore cooperation strategies between Korean and Indian companies. This is expected to be an excellent opportunity for Korean auto parts companies to gain a deeper understanding of the Indian automotive market.
