Muan, Jeollanam-do—In a bid to cater to the growing number of “Pet-Fam” (Pet+Family) travelers, the Jeollanam-do Provincial Government has launched a series of special tour packages under its “Namdo Hanbakkwi” (A Round Trip of Namdo) program. These tours, utilizing circulating buses, are specifically designed to allow passengers to travel and explore the region's scenic spots with their companion dogs.
The special pet-friendly program features both one-day trips and two-day, one-night packages throughout November. The day trips are scheduled for four occasions over the weekends in November and include attractive itineraries showcasing the region's natural beauty and landmarks.
Four Exclusive Day-Trip Courses with Pets
The four distinct day-trip itineraries are structured as follows, offering a mix of historical, natural, and modern attractions:
November 14 (Saturday): Gokseong, exploring the Seomjingang Train Village Fairy Tale Garden and Dorimsa Temple.
November 15 (Sunday): Gangjin and Boseong, visiting the Gangjinman Ecological Park and Yulpo Beach.
November 21 (Saturday): Suncheon, taking in the Drama Set and Ocheon Green Square.
November 22 (Sunday): Gurye and Damyang, featuring the Seomjingang Bamboo Forest Trail and Soswaewon Garden.
Each day trip is priced at an affordable 50,000 KRW, which covers round-trip transportation, food/beverages, and admission fees to the tourist sites.
Namdo's Main Attractions in a 1-Night, 2-Day Package
For travelers seeking a more comprehensive exploration, the 1-Night, 2-Day package offers a broader route covering major sites across the eastern and western parts of Jeollanam-do. The itinerary includes the Mokpo Marine Cable Car, Haenam Sani Garden, Suncheon Bay National Garden, and Yeosu Aqua Planet.
This longer tour, operating on five dates (November 15, 22, 29, and December 6, 13), departs from Gwangju U-Square (Comprehensive Bus Terminal). The cost for the 1N2D package is 219,000 KRW per person, covering round-trip premium bus fare, four meals, admission fees, and accommodation (based on a double room). This package is anticipated to attract significant interest from family units due to its comprehensive and value-packed nature.
