HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has successfully launched the first of six offshore patrol vessels ordered by the Philippine Navy, a key partner in K-marine defense.

The ceremony was attended by approximately 70 officials from both countries, including Philippine Armed Forces Chief of Staff Romeo S. Brawner, Philippine Ambassador to Korea Maria Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega, Philippine Navy Deputy Chief of Staff Edwin E. Amadar, Assistant Secretary for Defense Acquisition and Technology of the Department of National Defense Augusto V.
