Chungcheongnam-do Province, together with the Chungnam Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry and local business leaders, made a working visit to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and Fergana, a friendship exchange region, for four days from the 22nd to the 25th.
This visit to Uzbekistan was a reciprocal visit by Governor Kim Tae-heum following the visit of Fergana Governor Bozarov Khairullah to Chungcheongnam-do in November of last year.
In particular, this visit marks the first jointly planned visit in cooperation with the Fergana Province Trade Office in Korea, which opened in the province last year in conjunction with the Fergana Governor's visit to Chungcheongnam-do. The trade office played a significant role in facilitating communication between the provincial government and the delegation, as well as acting as a bridge at the business meeting.
The working delegation consisted of 11 members, including the heads of the International Cooperation Team and the Foreign Resident Policy Team of the province, the Vice Chairman of the Chungnam Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and businesspeople hoping to explore the market.
On the first day of the visit, the 22nd, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan's capital, Kim Chang-geon, the newly appointed trade advisor for Uzbekistan, explained the general overview and market conditions of Uzbekistan and shared information on import and export trends and corporate support policies.
