Chungcheongnam-do Province has announced its plan to host the ‘2025 Exporting Companies CEO Forum’ on April 23rd at the Ramada Encore by Wyndham Hotel in Cheonan. The forum is aimed at preparing for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and exploring strategies for Chungcheongnam-do-based companies to enter these projects.
Co-hosted by the province and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the forum will be held under the theme of ‘Strategies for Chungcheongnam-do Companies to Participate in the Ukraine Reconstruction Projects in Preparation for the End of the Russia-Ukraine War.’
The upcoming forum will serve as a platform to share insights into the trends of the post-war reconstruction projects in Ukraine and analyze the potential for participation by companies within the province. Furthermore, it will provide an opportunity to examine effective market entry strategies and successful case studies of companies that have ventured into similar overseas ventures.
In addition to the informative sessions, the forum will also offer personalized consulting services by KITA’s expert commissioners for interested participants.
Esteemed speakers will include Dr. Lee Cheol-won, a Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), Attorney Cho Eun-jin from Yulchon LLC, and Mr. Kang Ki-woong, Vice President of i-TOCSY. These experts will deliver presentations and engage in discussions with local business leaders from Chungcheongnam-do.
Executives and employees of exporting companies within the province who wish to attend the forum can register in advance through the Chungcheongnam-do Online Export Support System (충남온라인수출지원시스템) and the KITA website. On-site registration will also be available for those who could not register beforehand.
A representative from the province stated, “In the face of a global economic slowdown and the imposition of mutual tariffs by the U.S. administration, which have created challenging trade conditions, we are organizing this forum to present local companies with another direction for overseas market expansion and provide an opportunity to strengthen their competitiveness.” The representative further added, “In July, we also plan to host a large-scale export consultation event, leveraging our overseas offices and trade advisors to invite genuine buyers from around the world, thereby continuously expanding the export channels for companies within the province.”
