Among family travelers visiting Korea, there are many mother-daughter duos. In my youth, I never took a trip with just my mother. When I was busy and had no time, and when I finally had time, I lacked the financial means, and when I had the financial means, my mother was no longer in this world. That is why I feel envious whenever I see traveling mothers and daughters. Having time, having financial means, and being in good health—if you lack even one of these three elements, you cannot travel. Seeing daughters traveling with their mothers makes me regret the past. I resent myself for never having gone on a single trip with my mother. I thought she would live a long time, but how could she leave so suddenly at the mid-sixties due to a cerebral hemorrhage? I miss my mother.
