The grand opening ceremony took place at 5 PM on July 5th at the Sangsang Platform, heralding nearly a month of cultural immersion. Throughout the festival, audiences can experience a wide array of theatrical productions from representative troupes that have successfully navigated preliminary rounds in 16 cities and provinces across South Korea, excluding Sejong City. Beyond the main theatrical productions, the festival is enriched by several key ancillary events designed to foster dialogue, creativity, and collaboration within the theatre community. On July 6th, the Incheon Culture and Arts Center will host the 'Theatre Artists' 100-person Debate.' This significant forum provides a national platform for theatre professionals to convene and engage in critical discussions aimed at advancing the development and future direction of the performing arts industry in Korea.

Further enhancing the festival's vibrant atmosphere, July 19th will see the 'Networking Festival' unfold at the Incheon Art Platform. This event is particularly geared towards nurturing emerging talent, bringing together 150 young theatre artists and directors for an immersive creative camp culminating in a series of collaborative relay performances. This initiative underscores the festival's commitment to supporting the next generation of theatrical innovators.

Rounding out the extensive program is the '2025 Incheon International Theatre Forum,' scheduled for July 26th and 27th at the Gajeong Life Culture Center. This forum will serve as a crucial platform for discussing global trends and innovative practices in the performing arts, drawing insights from international experts and fostering cross-cultural exchange.
