The Gyeongsangnam-do Province and the Gyeongnam Culture & Arts Foundation (President Kim Jong-bu) are accepting applications until May 13th from local game companies to participate in the '2025 Gyeongnam Global Game Center Global Marketing Support Project,' which aims to enhance the domestic and international recognition of the province's game content.
The Global Marketing Production Support Project aims to support customized global marketing for companies, thereby increasing sales and supporting the growth of the local game industry through corporate promotion and market channel 확보.
This year, the support funds have been increased, and the scope of exhibition support has been expanded to include not only game exhibitions but also technology-related tech shows, thereby strengthening marketing and business matching.
Game companies located in Gyeongnam (companies registered for game development/distribution) are eligible to apply, and approximately 10 projects will be selected. Companies selected for the '2025 Gyeongnam Global Game Center Indie Game Development Support Project' are also eligible to apply, but if selected, they must relocate their headquarters to Gyeongnam before receiving the grant.
Selected companies will receive differentiated support ranging from KRW 10 million to KRW 25 million, and they must carry out marketing activities such as producing promotional videos, promoting pre-registration for game releases, exploring online distribution channels, producing promotional materials, and establishing strategies by November of this year, and demonstrate the results.
Applications can be submitted through eNarae-Doum until 4 PM on May 13th. More detailed information can be found on the Foundation's website (https://www.gcaf.or.kr/) and the Gyeongnam Global Game Center website (https://www.gngc.or.kr/), and inquiries can be made by phone to the Foundation's Game Industry Team (055-230-8874).
Kim Jong-bu, President of the Gyeongnam Culture & Arts Foundation, stated, "We hope that this project will serve as a catalyst for the successful entry of the province's excellent game content into the global market," and encouraged "many interested game companies to participate."
