[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] BHC Chicken, South Korea's largest chicken franchise by sales, announced on Monday its expansion into Canada. The company opened its first Canadian outlet at The Well, a downtown shopping mall in Toronto.
This marks a significant step towards BHC Chicken's goal of establishing 300 outlets in North America within five years. The company believes that the Toronto location will serve as a foothold for further expansion into the North American market, driven by the increasing popularity of Korean cuisine.
With the addition of the Toronto outlet, BHC Chicken now operates 23 overseas stores. These include two in Hong Kong, three in Singapore, eight in Thailand, six in Malaysia, and three in the United States. The company plans to further expand its presence by opening two more outlets each in Thailand and the United States by the end of 2024.
BHC Group, the parent company of BHC Chicken, also operates other restaurant brands including the Korean barbecue franchise Changgo 43 and Outback Steakhouse.
