Jangsu Apples and Jinan Plateau Ingredients Used as Cooking Competition Materials, Introducing Them to Viewers Nationwide
Filmed at Jeonju Hyanggyo Cultural Center and Wanpanbon Cultural Center to jointly promote local tourism resources At these locations, Jangsu apples and ingredients produced in the Jinan Plateau, such as bracken, dried radish greens (siraegi), and shiitake mushrooms, were used as key ingredients for a cooking competition.
Cast members developed menus highlighting the characteristics of local ingredients and presented a variety of dishes to introduce the taste and versatility of Jeonbuk ingredients.
The filming took place on May 28 at the Wanpanbon Cultural Center and Jeonju Hyanggyo Cultural Center located in Jeonju Hanok Village. Cultural and tourism facilities imbued with Jeonju's traditional culture and spatial charm were utilized as a broadcast stage to simultaneously promote the region's gastronomy and tourism resources.
The Foundation linked this broadcast with the “Gastronomy Tour Tourism Product Development” project under the “2026 Western Inland Region Tourism Promotion Project.” Through this, the broadcast focused on presenting Jeonbuk's food and tourist attractions as a single content piece, promoting the appeal of regional tourism nationwide.
CEO Lee Kyung-yoon stated, “It is meaningful that Jeonbuk's ingredients were not simply introduced, but showcased within actual dishes and broadcast content,” adding, “Moving forward, we will continue to expand interest in Jeonbuk tourism through content linking gastronomy and tourism resources.”
Meanwhile, tvN's "Street Restaurant Fighter" is a survival variety show where famous chefs directly run businesses and compete in various commercial districts, airing every Sunday from June 14 to September 6 at 7:35 PM.
