Cheonan, South Korea – Cheonan City has announced the operation of a "Free Mobile Health Checkup" service from March 24th to April 4th, aimed at residents in rural areas with limited access to medical facilities.

In collaboration with the Daejeon-Chungnam branch of the Planned Population Federation, the city will conduct health checkups at local public health centers. The screenings will include general checkups (for those born in odd-numbered years and aged 20 or older), adult disease screenings (for those aged 40 or older), and prostate cancer screenings (for men aged 50 or older).

The schedule for the mobile checkups is as follows:

March 24th: Ipjang Public Health Center
March 25th: Mokcheon Public Health Center
March 26th: Seonghwan Public Health Center
March 27th: Jiksan Public Health Center
March 28th: Seonggeo Public Health Center
March 31st: Susin Public Health Center
April 1st: Gwangdeok Public Health Center
April 2nd: Pungse Public Health Center
April 3rd: Byeongcheon Public Health Center
April 4th: Seongnam Public Health Center

The checkups will be available from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at each location.

Participants are required to fast from 8:00 PM the day before their checkup and bring their identification cards.

Lee Hyun-ki, head of the Seobuk-gu Public Health Center, emphasized the importance of early cancer detection, stating, "Early detection of cancer allows for a 90% or higher chance of complete recovery. We encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity." He also noted that those unable to attend the scheduled mobile checkups can visit any participating medical institution for their screenings.

Additionally, Cheonan City provides financial assistance for medical expenses related to the five major cancers and lung cancer for medical aid recipients.
