Marking its first major lobby renovation in 26 years, the Group realizes its CES 2026 vision of human-robot coexistence across a massive 36,000 m² ecosystem.

 

SEOUL – Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) announced today the grand reopening of its Yangjae headquarters lobby, establishing a cutting-edge testbed that seamlessly integrates daily corporate operations with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technology. This landmark transformation marks the first major redesign of the main lobby since the headquarters relocated to Yangjae in 2000, bringing to life the "AI Robotics Era" vision originally unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas earlier this year.

Spanning an expansive 36,000 square meters—equivalent to five football fields—the revitalized space transitions from a conventional corporate entryway into an open, collaborative square. Over a 23-month meticulous renovation period starting in May 2024, the Group focused on engineering an environment where human employees and highly autonomous robots organically coexist, fostering an innovative corporate culture that inspires creative thinking and dynamic communication.

At the heart of this live ecosystem is a trio of collaborative robots working in perfect synchronization. 'DAL-e Delivery' streamlines internal logistics by managing complex beverage orders submitted through a proprietary smartphone application. Utilizing 'FACy'—the Group's advanced building-wide facial recognition system—the robot identifies recipients at designated zones without requiring physical badges or manual authentication. Concurrently, 'DAL-e Gardener' maintains the corporate micro-climate, while the quadruped robot 'Spot' autonomously patrols the perimeter, scanning for security anomalies using sophisticated spatial awareness modules.

To maximize operational efficiency, all robotic assets are orchestrally managed under 'Neeon,' an integrated control system. Through a responsive web application, administrators can monitor real-time spatial positioning, battery health, and scheduling variables. This deployment follows a strategic structural reorganization wherein the Robotics Lab was integrated into the Advanced Vehicle Platform (AVP) Division, anchoring the Group's dedication to balancing hardware mechanics with adaptive software architectures.
