Seoul, South Korea – The Korea Appraisal Board (KAB) announced today that it will be accepting applications for its Green Remodeling project until January 3rd of the following year. The initiative aims to revitalize aging public buildings by enhancing their energy efficiency and providing more comfortable living environments for citizens.
The Green Remodeling project, which is spearheaded by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and overseen by the KAB, will prioritize public buildings such as health centers, community centers, libraries, and various welfare facilities. These buildings, typically more than a decade old, will undergo renovations to improve their insulation, install high-performance windows, and upgrade heating and cooling systems.
To encourage participation, the government will provide up to 70% of the project costs. The specific amount of financial support will vary depending on the scale of the project and the applicant.
The KAB will conduct on-site inspections and provide consultations for all applicant buildings. Final selections for the project will be announced in May of the following year. Applications must be submitted electronically to the KAB.
