2025 Louisiana Energy Awards: Nominations Open Until June 30th

In the state of Louisiana, USA, where oil refineries, chemical plants, and energy export terminals form the landscape, the '2025 Louisiana Energy Awards' will be held to honor individuals and projects leading the traditional energy sector and the emerging future energy fields.

The Louisiana Energy Awards aim to highlight the multifaceted aspects and innovations of the energy industry, a key driving force of Louisiana's economy – from the development of deepwater oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico to carbon capture technologies and renewable energy investments. The awards will recognize leadership, innovation, and contributions to the local community.

The awards ceremony will take place on November 5th in Baton Rouge with a grand banquet. Final nominees and winners will be featured in the fall issue of the 10/12 Industry Report.

This year's awards will recognize winners in seven categories: Lifetime Achievement Award, Energy Executive of the Year, Emerging Energy Leader of the Year, Energy Company of the Year (Large and Small/Mid-Sized), Energy Deal of the Year, and Community Impact Award.

Julio Melara, CEO of Melara Enterprises, the parent company of 10/12 Industry Report, stated, "Louisiana not only has a deep history in the energy industry but is also playing an increasingly crucial role in shaping the future of energy. This awards program is designed to reflect both of these aspects."

Nominations opened on April 8th and will be accepted until June 30th. Nominee eligibility is limited to individuals, companies, or projects with strong ties to the Louisiana energy economy.

For a rigorous evaluation process, a selection committee composed of energy company executives, renewable energy experts, academics, and economic development professionals will review the nominations. The selection committee will choose up to five finalists in each category and determine the final winners after an official judging meeting in September.

In particular, the Community Impact Award will honor the charitable or volunteer activities of energy companies that provide tangible benefits to the Louisiana community.
