KOTRA (President Kang Kyoung-sung) announced its participation in the 'BIO International Convention 2025 (hereinafter referred to as BIO USA),' held in Boston, USA, from June 16 to 19, where it operated the largest-ever integrated Korea Pavilion.
BIO USA is the world's largest exhibition in the bio and pharmaceutical sectors. KOTRA collaborated with five organizations, including Seoul Bio Hub, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning, and Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation, to form an integrated Korea Pavilion with a total of 58 participating companies.
Through this exhibition, over 200 one-on-one consultations were held, and discussions with renowned global companies were actively conducted. Notably, participating company 'A' discussed R&D-specialized collaboration strategies for new drug development with AstraZeneca, while participating company 'B' consulted with Eli Lilly, which has recently gained attention in the obesity treatment market, focusing on future joint drug development and partnership expansion.
In addition to these exhibition achievements, KOTRA also hosted 'Korea Bio-Tech Partnership 2025 (hereinafter referred to as KBTP)' with five organizations, including the Korea Bio Association, to expand its global cooperation base. More than 500 bio and medical experts attended this event, including representatives from global pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and Roche, as well as officials from the world's largest medical complex.
