Gyeongsangbuk-do's representative non-verbal performance, 'Infinity Flying,' garnered an enthusiastic response at the '2025 Philippines MICE Roadshow,' held in Manila and Cebu from June 24th to 26th, reaffirming the strong position of K-Performance. Hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization, this event aimed to foster cooperation and expand the MICE tourism market between the two countries. The Gyeongbuk Arts and Culture Tourism Organization actively promoted Gyeongbuk's excellent MICE infrastructure and tourism resources.

The roadshow took place at Fairmont Makati Hotel in Manila and Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu, featuring B2B consultations and Korea tourism briefings for approximately 300 local travel agencies, airlines, and corporate representatives from the Philippines. Gyeongsangbuk-do primarily introduced its MICE facilities and various support systems, while also vividly conveying Gyeongbuk's charm by promoting specialized tourism content popular in the region, such as filming locations for Hallyu dramas. Notably, the 'Infinity Flying' performance captivated on-site participants and received significant acclaim.

'Infinity Flying' is a fusion of extreme sports – including rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, martial arts, and b-boying performed by former national athletes – and non-verbal performance. It presents a spectacular and intense stage, combining cutting-edge performance technology, such as robot arms and 3D holograms, with diverse performances like acrobatics, b-boying, and cheerleading. The show tells the story of a Hwarang (Silla-era warrior) who travels through time to a modern high school while chasing a goblin, creating a delightful series of happenings that can be enjoyed by all ages. Lasting approximately 80 minutes, the performance has no dialogue, making it easily accessible to international audiences without language barriers.

'Infinity Flying' has been continuously performed at the Munmu Hall of Gyeongju Expo Park Culture Center. As the first regional performance to run for 14 consecutive years, it has firmly established itself as Gyeongsangbuk-do's flagship performance content, attracting over 30,000 spectators for three consecutive years. Furthermore, it received the Grand Prize in the Play/Musical category at the '10th Korea Hallyu Awards' in 2022, acknowledging its global competitiveness. Through successful overseas performances in countries such as Singapore, Turkey, Taiwan, and Japan, it has consistently elevated the status of K-Performance.

Kim Nam-il, President of the Gyeongbuk Arts and Culture Tourism Organization, stated, "We anticipate that participating in the Philippines MICE Roadshow will elevate Gyeongbuk's status in the Southeast Asian MICE market and serve as an opportunity to attract international conferences and strengthen global networks in the future." The invitation of 'Infinity Flying' to perform in the Philippines is regarded as a crucial stepping stone for the revitalization of Gyeongbuk's MICE tourism and the global expansion of K-content. Gyeongbuk-do plans to actively attract MICE tourists through continuous exchanges with major cities in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
