HAMAN — Haman-gun announced on the 6th that local agricultural and food processing companies successfully secured a $500,000 export agreement with local agri-food distributor Jangbaguni Inc. at the 53rd Los Angeles Korean Festival in the United States, marking a significant milestone in expanding their presence in the North American market.
On the 2nd, the county held an official business agreement signing ceremony aimed at expanding Haman's agricultural food products into the U.S. market, attended by three participating local companies and local U.S. buyers. This partnership is expected to establish a stable distribution network and lay a solid foundation for expanding the reach of premium agricultural products from Haman across North America.
This year's festival featured three local companies whose marketability has been thoroughly verified. They showcased products tailored to local consumption trends and convenience, capturing strong interest from buyers. The flagship items on display included portable and convenient "soybean paste sticks," traditionally brewed "special red pepper pastes," and savory "premium salted seafood."
An official from Haman-gun stated, "This agreement is a valuable achievement that highlights the excellence of Haman's agri-food products in the American market through close cooperation and active on-the-ground efforts by local businesses, serving as a stepping stone for export diversification." The official added, "Capitalizing on the high local interest in Korean food, we will continue to support local agricultural and food enterprises in pioneering overseas markets."
