Las Vegas, Nevada – LG Electronics has unveiled its groundbreaking "MX Platform" at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, marking a significant leap in the convergence of home and automotive technologies. The platform is designed to extend the convenience and comfort of AI-powered homes into the realm of mobility, transforming vehicles into personalized living spaces.
The MX Platform offers a modular approach, allowing users to customize their in-vehicle environment by combining various AI appliances and IoT devices. Whether it's a cozy living room, a productive workspace, or an entertainment hub, the platform can adapt to individual preferences. Through integration with LG's ThinQ app, users can control their vehicle's environment, schedule tasks, and access information using voice commands and natural language processing.
A recent survey conducted by LG revealed a significant shift in consumer perceptions of vehicles. Over 72% of respondents indicated that they enjoy spending time in their cars, while 43% view their vehicles as personal spaces rather than mere transportation. The MX Platform directly addresses this evolving consumer demand, providing a solution that seamlessly blends home and automotive experiences.
"By leveraging our expertise in home appliances and AI, we are redefining the automotive experience," said Ryu Jae-cheol, President of LG's Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. "The MX Platform represents a new frontier in mobility solutions, connecting people's lives across all spaces."
