Bình Phước Province, Vietnam - Bình Phước is embarking on an ambitious plan to transform into a prominent industrial hub by strategically developing a network of industrial zones and clusters across the province. This initiative involves significant investment and aims to drive economic growth and modernize the province's industrial sector.
The province has outlined plans to establish 35 industrial clusters across 11 districts and towns, requiring a total investment of approximately US$240 million. This ambitious project will be implemented in two phases: 21 clusters will be developed from 2020 to 2025, followed by the addition of 14 more clusters from 2025 to 2030. Each cluster is projected to span an average of 33 hectares.
By 2030, Bình Phước aims for the industrial construction sector to contribute 54% to its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), solidifying its position as a modern and sustainable industrial province.
The province prioritizes high-value sectors such as manufacturing, supporting industries, renewable energy, construction materials, and information technology. In the processing industry, Bình Phước focuses on deep processing through cluster models, with a particular emphasis on developing three key sectors: cashew, rubber and wood, and food processing.
In 2024, the industrial sector continued to play a crucial role in driving Bình Phước's economic growth. The industrial construction sector contributed significantly to the province's GRDP growth, and the Industrial Production Index (IIP) saw an impressive estimated increase of nearly 18% compared to the previous year.
This significant investment in industrial development underscores Bình Phước's commitment to economic progress and its vision to become a leading industrial player in Vietnam.
