Ansan City announced on August 24 that it successfully hosted the 'Global K-Youth Forum' at the Ansan Arts Center on August 21, gathering domestic and overseas Korean youths.

Under the theme "Beyond Settlement into the Future," the forum was co-hosted by Ansan City and the Ansan Goryoin Culture Center with support from the Overseas Koreans Agency. It aimed to share settlement experiences among Goryoin and ethnic Korean Chinese youth and gather practical policy proposals.

The event opened with a performance by the Goryoin youth dance team "Big Fingers." In Part 1, Director Jeon Hoo-seok delivered a keynote speech on "The Era of Diversity, the Role of Global Korean Youth."

Following this, Professor Jeon Choon-hwa of Hongik University moderated a panel discussion titled "Why Do I Dream of a Future in South Korea?" Panelists including Nurgashev Adilbek, Han Ji-min, and Nam Ji-eun discussed identity, education, career, and social integration experiences.

Part 2 featured roundtable discussions across four categories: Education and Career, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Social Integration, and Youth Support. Participants shared diverse opinions and compiled them into policy recommendations.

Ansan Mayor Lee Min-keun stated, "We hope this forum provided a meaningful stage for youth to share experiences. We will actively reflect their insights into policies so young people can build their futures in Ansan."
