Singapore - Drones will be deployed during the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2025 to enhance safety and crowd management. These unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), equipped with spotlights, blinkers, and speakers, will be used for crowd monitoring and broadcasting safety announcements.
The police will utilize a new AI-powered system called the Q-crowd counter (QCC) to analyze live drone footage and accurately determine crowd numbers within seconds. This technology is expected to be more efficient than previous methods, especially in low-light conditions.
Increased Security Presence
Over 800 police officers will be deployed across various locations, including Marina Bay, Singapore Sports Hub, Sentosa, Orchard Road, and heartland areas, to ensure public safety during the festivities.
Mobicam Systems
The police will also utilize Mobicam systems, static cameras equipped with blinkers, speakers, and electronic signage, to broadcast audio advisories, visual messages, and provide directions to public transportation.
