Suwon, South Korea – A 47-year-old man identified only as Mr. A has been arrested and is facing murder charges after allegedly killing his wife and hiding her body in his car for approximately three months.
The Suwon Joongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced on February 21st that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A. He is accused of killing his wife, Mrs. B, during an argument at their home in Suwon on November 26th of last year.
According to police, Mr. A, who worked as a day laborer, had frequent financial difficulties with his wife. During the argument, Mrs. B reportedly demanded a divorce, which is believed to have triggered the violent act. Mr. A allegedly struck his wife multiple times in the head, causing her death.
He then concealed her body in the trunk of his car and parked it in a nearby public parking lot. The body was discovered by police three months later, in a state of decomposition.
Police are continuing to investigate the case and are looking into whether Mr. A had planned to dispose of the body elsewhere. They are also investigating the full circumstances surrounding the murder.
Mr. A faces charges of murder and concealing a body. If convicted, he could face a lengthy prison sentence.
