Seoul, South Korea – November 14, 2024 – Samsung SDI held its annual “Partnership Day” event, bringing together top executives from the company and its partner firms to celebrate their collaborative achievements and reaffirm their commitment to mutual growth.
The event, which took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo, was attended by over 200 individuals, including Samsung SDI CEO Yuhun Choi and CEOs from partner companies.
In his address, CEO Choi highlighted the significant contributions of partner companies in helping Samsung SDI achieve key milestones, such as the development of solid-state batteries and securing orders from major automakers like GM and Hyundai. "Thanks to the innovative efforts and cooperation of our partners, we have been able to expand our foundation for future growth," Choi said. "Let's work together to transform challenges into opportunities by achieving world-class technology and product competitiveness, and together become a top-tier global company by 2030."
To achieve this goal, Choi called on partners to enhance their development capabilities, ensure the highest quality standards, and achieve unprecedented cost competitiveness.
Furthermore, Choi emphasized the importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and encouraged partners to actively participate in enhancing the sustainability of the supply chain. Samsung SDI pledged to provide comprehensive and systematic support to help partners achieve their ESG goals.
"Partnership Day" was first launched in 2000 as a platform for Samsung SDI and its partners to share innovative practices and foster mutual growth. The company's dedication to sustainable partnerships has been recognized by the Korea Corporate Partnership Committee, which awarded Samsung SDI the highest rating in its corporate partnership index for two consecutive years.
"We will continue to foster partnerships and actively engage in sincere communication with all stakeholders," said a Samsung SDI spokesperson.
