JINDO — Jindo County (integrated Jeonnam-Gwangju Special City) officially wrapped up the "2026 Swan Lake Park Autumn Flower Festival," held recently around Swan Lake Park and the Nari Breakwater, local officials announced on the 8th.
According to official estimates, approximately 9,000 people—including both general picnickers and main event visitors—visited the Swan Lake Park site during the event period.
The festival was designed to provide a relaxing outdoor space where local residents and tourists can unwind in pleasant nature, offering a chance to enjoy vibrant autumn flowers and expansive lake views all in one place.
Tailored Experience Programs Linked to Flower Trail Tours
Throughout the event zone, various cultural performances, hands-on experience programs, and food booths were intensively operated along the flower trail tour routes. Dedicated experience areas featured detailed programs, such as keychain making, traditional mother-of-pearl accessory crafting, and cosmos-themed keycap assembly.
Additionally, photo zones tailored to different age groups were set up at key locations across the festival grounds. Notably, a "free photography service" operated in cooperation with the Jindo Photography Association allowed visitors to take pictures against a backdrop of flowers and the lake, receiving instant printed photos on the spot.
Free Shuttle Buses and Local Specialty Direct Sales
Prioritizing visitor convenience, the county operated wheelchair rental stations and ran the internal flower trail tour buses completely free of charge.
To prepare for outdoor activities, large shade shelters and temporary mobile restrooms were installed throughout the venue, strengthening facility infrastructure and mobility support systems so that visitors of all ages—from children to seniors—could comfortably enjoy the grounds.
Furthermore, a dedicated local specialty product market was opened at the site to actively promote Jindo's agricultural and marine specialties, encouraging visitors to make direct purchases.
Building on a multi-faceted analysis of this year's operations, Jindo County plans to foster Swan Lake Park into a comprehensive, seasonal tourist destination next year.
