Tel Aviv, Israel – Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel, Ly Duc Trung, took to the airwaves on Israeli radio station FM 100 on March 14th to highlight the growing partnership between Vietnam and Israel. The live broadcast served as a platform to showcase Vietnam's recent socio-economic progress and its appeal as a premier tourist destination.
Ambassador Trung emphasized Vietnam's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and warm hospitality, all of which are attracting an increasing number of Israeli visitors. He also underscored the significance of the bilateral free trade agreement, which went into effect in 2024. This agreement has significantly boosted trade between the two nations by reducing tariffs on a wide range of goods, pushing bilateral trade volume to an impressive $3 billion.
"The potential for collaboration between Vietnam and Israel is immense," stated Ambassador Trung, pointing to promising opportunities in sectors such as construction, agriculture, and technology. He particularly highlighted the burgeoning cooperation in agricultural technology, citing the successful cultivation of Israeli avocado varieties in Vietnam as a prime example.
The ambassador brought samples of these Vietnamese-grown avocados to the studio, demonstrating the tangible results of the partnership. These avocados, cultivated using Israeli expertise, have shown remarkable yields and profitability, illustrating the effectiveness of the collaborative efforts.
This radio appearance is a testament to the strengthening bond between Vietnam and Israel, as they continue to explore new avenues for cooperation and mutual growth.
