SEOUL, South Korea – Following the massive success of its inaugural event, hy (formerly Korea Yakult) has officially announced the return of its signature wellness event. On March 6, the company revealed that the 2nd Annual "Haru Run" Marathon with Haru Yachae will be held on May 23, 2026, at the scenic Misa Boat Race Park in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province.
The "Haru Run" is a strategic health campaign that merges hy’s premium vegetable juice brand, Haru Yachae, with the communal energy of marathon running. The initiative is designed to promote a "Pleasant Health Management" culture, encouraging participants to balance physical activity with the recommended daily intake of essential vegetables.
Expanded Scale and Accessibility
Responding to overwhelming public demand, hy has significantly scaled up the event for 2026. While the first marathon in 2025 saw approximately 1,600 participants, this year’s capacity has been more than doubled to 3,500 runners.
Prospective participants can choose between two courses tailored to different fitness levels:
-5km Course: Ideal for beginners and families looking for a light jog.
-10km Course: Aimed at seasoned runners seeking a competitive edge.
Registration officially opens on March 9, 2026, through the Haru Run official website. Given the popularity of the previous event, organizers expect slots to fill up rapidly.
Targeting the "Young & Healthy" Demographic
A standout feature of the 2nd Haru Run is its focus on the MZ Generation (20s and 30s). Recognizing that modern runners value "shareable" and aesthetic experiences, hy has integrated several trendy lifestyle elements into the event grounds:
-Reform Contest: A creative space for participants to customize their racing gear.
-Four-Cut Photo Zones: Themed booths for capturing high-quality commemorative photos.
-Haru Run Powder Room: A dedicated space for runners to freshen up and style themselves post-race.
-Brand Experience Zones: Interactive booths where attendees can sample hy’s diverse product lineup and participate in gamified wellness challenges.
"The Haru Run is more than just a race; it is a celebration of a healthy lifestyle," said a representative from hy. "By integrating Haru Yachae’s brand value—daily vegetable nutrition—with the dynamic energy of running, we hope to lead the way in sustainable health trends."
Premium Rewards and Recognition
To honor the effort of every participant, the event offers a unique "Personalized Finish." All runners who complete the course will receive a commemorative medal that allows for the on-site engraving of their personal finish time and initials—a rare touch in mass-participation marathons.
For the competitive elites, the stakes are high. The first-place male and female finishers in each course category will be awarded:
-A Cash Prize
-Prospecs High-Performance Running Shoes
-A 6-month Subscription to Haru Yachae
The Future of Corporate Wellness
By hosting the Haru Run, hy continues to solidify its transition from a traditional food and beverage company to a holistic "Life Performance" partner. As data centers and high-tech industries focus on efficiency—much like the recent power-stabilization guides released by Murata for AI servers—hy is focusing on the "human efficiency" of the Korean public through accessible nutrition and fitness.
The event promises to be a landmark gathering for South Korea's growing running community, blending athleticism with the refreshing taste of Haru Yachae.
