Starbucks Korea Collaborates with MU:DS to Launch Products Inspired by Joseon Dynasty Artifacts

Seoul, South Korea – January 10, 2024 – Starbucks Korea has announced a collaboration with the National Museum of Korea’s MU:DS to launch a series of products inspired by Joseon Dynasty artifacts. Themed "Joseon Meets Coffee," this collection reimagines the traditional tea ceremony of Joseon scholars enjoying tea in a plum blossom garden, introducing a unique blend of historical elegance and modern coffee culture.
A total of four products inspired by the National Museum of Korea’s collection, "Lee Hancheol - Seoksok Surrounded by Plum Blossoms," will be released on January 13th at midnight through Starbucks' online store and Naver Brand Store. This collection includes a mug, tumbler, table mat, and fabric poster, each capturing the serene beauty of a plum blossom-filled courtyard.
Additionally, Starbucks will be releasing a series of products inspired by Joseon Dynasty's iconic white porcelain. These items, including an espresso cup set, a ceramic kettle, and a dessert plate, will be available on Naver Brand Store starting January 13th and on Starbucks' online store starting January 20th.
With the exception of the fabric poster and dessert plate, which will be available exclusively online, the remaining five products will be available at five Incheon Airport branches and the Jangchung Lounge R from January 20th onwards.

This unique collaboration between Starbucks and MU:DS offers consumers a chance to own a piece of Korean history while enjoying their favorite beverage. By merging traditional aesthetics with modern coffee culture, Starbucks aims to appeal to a wider audience and foster a deeper appreciation for Korea's rich cultural heritage.
