Daejeon, South Korea – The 1970th Regiment of the South Korean Army's 32nd Infantry Division will conduct the '25 FS/TIGER Exercise in the Daejeon region from March 10th to March 20th. This exercise is designed to prepare the division for evolving security threats, particularly those posed by North Korea.
The training will incorporate realistic field maneuver exercises to strengthen the integrated defense posture across the Chungcheongnam-do, Daejeon, and Sejong regions. This is in direct response to the increasing security concerns that involve North Korea's gray zone provocations and growing nuclear and missile capabilities.
During the exercise period, there will be increased movement of military personnel and equipment, both day and night. The 32nd Infantry Division has asked for the public's understanding and cooperation during this time. They have also requested that any suspicious activity, including inquiries about the location of military or critical national infrastructure, be reported immediately to the nearest military unit, police station, or by calling 1338.
The 32nd Infantry Division has stated that through these practical FS/TIGER exercises, they are committed to maintaining a perfect integrated defense operation in the event of a regional crisis. They will fulfill their responsibility as a local defense unit that "works together with the local residents."
