Hong Kong will once again take center stage in the global healthcare and biotechnology landscape as it hosts the fifth edition of the Asia Summit On Global Health (ASGH 2025) from May 26th to 27th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), 1  this premier event is set to gather leading experts, investors, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to exchange insights on industry trends, policy directions, and foster collaborations. The summit will also feature investment and partnership-focused side events, generating significant anticipation within the global healthcare community.

The fair covers a wide spectrum of the healthcare industry, including biotechnology (vaccines, allergy testing), hospital equipment, elderly care, and rehabilitation. The previous edition in 2024 attracted 296 exhibitors from eight countries and regions, including Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Hungary, India, and Taiwan, and welcomed over 12,000 buyers from 60 countries and regions.

A representative from the HKTDC emphasized Hong Kong's strategic position as a leading investment hub for the global healthcare and biotechnology sectors. "The International Healthcare Week, encompassing ASGH and the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, will underscore Hong Kong's role as a premier R&D collaboration base for leading companies worldwide," the representative stated. The events are expected to further solidify Hong Kong's reputation as a gateway for international healthcare businesses looking to expand into Asia and for Asian companies seeking global partnerships and investments.
