Shin Min-a Continues Her Dedicated Philanthropy

Seoul, South Korea – Actress Shin Min-a has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to giving back to society. According to her agency on January 7, Shin donated 300 million won (approximately US$225,000) to the Hanlim Foundation for Burns and Seoul Asan Medical Center, among other charitable organizations, during the past year-end.
This latest donation marks a continuation of her 15-year philanthropic journey, which began in 2009. Shin has been a consistent supporter of the Hanlim Foundation for Burns since 2015, contributing a total of 1 billion won over the past decade to aid in the treatment of 201 burn patients. Last year alone, she helped 18 children and women suffering from burn injuries.
Shin's generosity extends beyond burn victims. She has also supported various causes such as education for underprivileged children, heating assistance for the elderly, and aid for North Korean women and children. Moreover, she has been at the forefront of disaster relief efforts, providing assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, and floods.
In recognition of her humanitarian work, Shin received the Good People Artist Award at the 14th Beautiful Artist Awards. During her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude and pledged to donate the prize money to those in need, specifically requesting that a portion be used to support theater students at her alma mater, Dongguk University.
To date, Shin Min-a has donated a staggering 4 billion won to charitable causes, solidifying her reputation as one of South Korea's most generous celebrities. Her consistent acts of kindness have inspired countless individuals and continue to make a positive impact on society.
