SEOUL – Global phenomenon BLACKPINK is officially back! The girl group has commenced filming the music video for their highly anticipated new album, marking their first full-group comeback in three years, as confirmed by their agency, YG Entertainment, on Monday.
The news, published at 1:35 PM KST, instantly sparked excitement among BLINKs worldwide, who have been eagerly awaiting new material from all four members.
"BLACKPINK will begin shooting the music video for their new song this week," YG Entertainment stated. The agency also assured fans that the album is in its "final stages to enhance musical completeness." Further good news will be shared through official promotions once preparations are complete.
While BLACKPINK released the digital single ‘JUMP’ in July this year, their last album was the second full-length album, ‘BORN PINK,’ released in September 2022. That release, featuring hit tracks like ‘Pink Venom’ and the title track ‘Shut Down,’ solidified their global dominance.
With approximately three years having passed since 'BORN PINK,' the intensity of global focus on this complete-group return is immense.
In addition to their album preparations, BLACKPINK continues to connect with fans across the globe through their 'DEADLINE' World Tour, which kicked off in July at Goyang Stadium. Having successfully completed the North American and European legs, the group is now undertaking the Asian leg, which began in Taiwan on October 18.
This upcoming album is expected to further cement BLACKPINK's status as a top-tier international act.
