The Paraguayan government has taken a significant step towards national development by strengthening its collaboration with the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). The two organizations have signed two strategic agreements aimed at developing key sectors in Paraguay.

Development of Cultural and Tourist Attractions in Asunción

CAF, the Paraguayan National Secretariat of Culture (SENATUR), and OEI have signed a cooperation agreement to transform the traditional San Jerónimo area of Asunción into a sustainable tourist destination. This project aims to strengthen the cultural identity of the local community, improve infrastructure, and create economic opportunities through tourism.

This agreement aims to enhance public accountability and increase transparency through human resource training, the introduction of new work methodologies, and improved knowledge transfer mechanisms.
