In an effort to stimulate consumption and revitalize the local economy, Jeollanam-do province is launching a special discount promotion for products made by social enterprises during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
The promotion, funded by a 100 million won emergency budget, offers discounts of up to 50% and will be conducted on various online and offline platforms, including Nokseoknanum, Namdojangter, and direct sales markets. Over 500 social enterprises are participating, offering a wide range of products such as agricultural and fishery products, processed foods, and daily necessities.
For online purchases, the provincial government will provide daily 40% discount coupons on all products at Nokseoknanum, Namdojangter, and the Korea Post shopping mall until [date]. Consumers can use these coupons to purchase their desired items.
Offline, Jeollanam Commercial Corporation will offer a 20% discount on 110 products from 30 companies for public institutions, while Lotte Outlet Gwangju World Cup will sell 50 products from 15 companies at reasonable prices to consumers.
“Due to prolonged high inflation and interest rates, the people are facing economic difficulties, especially during the Lunar New Year,” said Kim Jun-cheol, head of the Jeollanam-do Job and Economy Division. “We hope that many people will participate in this special discount event to support social enterprises through ethical consumption and alleviate the burden on consumers.”
Products available for purchase can be found on the Nokseoknanum website (greenanum.co.kr), Namdojangter website (jnmall.kr), Korea Post shopping mall (mall.epost.go.kr), or by calling Jeollanam Commercial Corporation at 061-282-8690.
