The Sinbang Library, a cornerstone of cultural enrichment within Cheonan City, has unveiled its highly anticipated humanities lecture series for the spring and summer seasons, aptly titled ‘Change Life.’ This initiative, slated to run from May through September 2025, underscores the library’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth and providing practical knowledge to its citizenry. The ‘Change Life’ series distinguishes itself by focusing on themes directly relevant to the daily lives of Cheonan residents, encompassing critical areas such as environmental sustainability, personal finance, health and well-being, and effective communication within families.
Under the astute leadership of Director Moon Hyun-joo, the Sinbang Library has curated a program featuring a diverse array of distinguished speakers and subject matter experts. Continuing the series in June, the library will host two engaging sessions. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how dietary choices can significantly impact their health and vitality as they age.
In July, the ‘Change Life’ series will address the sensitive yet universally relevant topic of aging and the end of life. On July 16th, Professor Lim Hyo-nam of Konyang University, a distinguished scholar in the field of gerontology and palliative care, will present ‘Beautiful Well-Aging, Well-Dying.’ Professor Lim’s lecture will explore the multifaceted aspects of aging gracefully, encompassing physical, emotional, and social well-being.
