Chimbarongo to Host 18th Annual ExpoMimbre, Showcasing Local Crafts and Culture

CHIMBARONGO, Chile – The Municipality of Chimbarongo has announced the 18th annual ExpoMimbre, a free event celebrating the region's rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship. The expo will take place from March 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Plaza de Armas in Chimbarongo.
ExpoMimbre will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including live music performances, dance shows, and comedy acts. Headliners include renowned Chilean artists such as Luis Jara, Pablito Pesadilla, and Leo Rey, as well as local talents.
The event will showcase the work of over 150 artisans, with 60 stands dedicated to traditional wicker crafts, 90 stands featuring artisanal cosmetics and gourmet products, and 49 food stalls offering regional delicacies. Additionally, 20 local agricultural producers will participate in the expo.
ExpoMimbre aims to promote Chimbarongo's cultural heritage and support local artisans. The event provides a platform for artists from across Chile to display and sell their creations, fostering the preservation of traditional crafts.
In addition to the exhibitions and performances, ExpoMimbre will also host an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding artisans in various categories, including creativity, innovation, and resilience.
The expo is expected to attract visitors from Chimbarongo and neighboring regions, offering a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant culture and craftsmanship of central Chile.
