ORLANDO, FL – LG Electronics (CEO Cho Joo-wan) is set to make a significant splash at the AHR Expo 2025, the largest HVAC exhibition in North America, held in Orlando, Florida from February 10th to 12th. The company will showcase its latest advancements in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions, targeting both industrial and residential customers.

This marks the first AHR Expo appearance for LG Electronics' newly launched ES (Energy Solutions) Business Division, established with the goal of becoming a global leader in the HVAC industry. LG has significantly expanded its exhibition space this year, occupying a 646㎡ (approximately 195 pyeong) booth, a 73㎡ increase from the previous year. The booth is designed to highlight LG's core technological strengths, providing visitors with a clear view of the internal structure and key components of its products.

A key highlight of LG's showcase is the oil-free inverter turbo chiller. This innovative product utilizes magnetic bearing technology, levitating the high-speed compressor motor's rotating shaft with electromagnetic force. This reduces friction loss and significantly improves energy efficiency.

LG Electronics will also present its diverse inverter heat pump lineup, designed to cater to the varied climates across the United States. These high-efficiency products have earned the ENERGY STAR certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Recognizing the prevalence of spacious detached houses in North America, LG will offer duct-based unitary residential cooling and heating solutions to meet the diverse needs of local customers.

Notably, LG's residential cold climate heat pump has been recognized with the '2025 AHR Expo Innovation Award' in the sustainable solutions category. This remarkable product maintains stable heating performance even in temperatures as low as -35℃ (-31℉), and its refrigerant cycle optimization technology prevents outdoor unit condensate from freezing, maximizing heating efficiency. LG Electronics is committed to ongoing research and development in heat pump technology capable of delivering high performance in extreme cold conditions. The company operates research centers in locations such as Alaska, Norway, and China to further this goal.

LG is not only focused on technological advancements through R&D but also strengthening its localized business system, encompassing production, sales, and maintenance, to provide customized services. The company's AI-based smart control system monitors real-time usage and provides optimization functions to help customers save energy.

In response to regulations in some U.S. states, including California, that prohibit the use of refrigerants with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 750 or higher starting this year, LG will introduce products such as the inverter scroll chiller and Multi V i that use R32 refrigerant, which has a GWP approximately 30% lower than the conventional R410A refrigerant.

Furthermore, LG Electronics will have a separate booth dedicated to showcasing its component solutions, including compressors and motors. The company will unveil its first 27 USRT large-capacity scroll compressor with an improved compression structure and enhanced stability, expanding its presence in the commercial sector. LG will also address diverse customer needs by offering scroll and rotary compressors for cold climate heat pumps, developed in collaboration with HVAC manufacturers.
