Seoul, South Korea – LG Electronics has introduced its latest concept vehicle, the "Digital Cockpit Gamma," showcasing cutting-edge in-car technology. The digital cockpit, a highly advanced driver's compartment, is designed to offer a seamless and personalized driving experience.

Unveiled on November 11th, the Digital Cockpit Gamma is a concept vehicle that showcases LG's technological capabilities in the automotive industry. It follows the company's previous concepts, Alpha and Beta, which were introduced last year.

The new cockpit is divided into three main functional areas: vision display, intelligent human-machine interface (HMI), and connectivity & content.

The vision display features a transparent OLED cluster that provides essential driving information such as navigation and speed. The central information display (CID) uses a rollable plastic OLED panel, which can be concealed when not in use, enhancing the interior aesthetics.

The intelligent HMI leverages AI to enhance driver interaction with the vehicle. For instance, the system can detect signs of drowsiness and suggest nearby coffee shops, allowing the driver to order a coffee using the in-car payment system, which supports fingerprint authentication. The steering wheel incorporates a touch display, providing access to various functions such as climate control, navigation, and phone calls.

The connectivity & content system offers an immersive entertainment experience. Utilizing 5G connectivity, the system allows users to stream high-quality content from LG's webOS platform. Users can control the content using simple hand gestures and even share the screen with other passengers.
