Korean Mezzo-Soprano Yi-Kyoung Lee Celebrates 30th Anniversary with "My Way" Concert

SEOUL – Renowned Korean mezzo-soprano Yi-Kyoung Lee, the first Korean to win the prestigious Bellini International Vocal Competition in Italy, will be holding a concert titled "My Way" on March 25 at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall to celebrate her 30th anniversary in the music industry.
Lee, who debuted in 1995 as the lead in the National Opera Company's production of Menotti's "The Medium," has won six international competitions, including the prestigious 34th Bellini International Competition in 2003.
The concert will feature a variety of songs, including Schubert's "An die Musik," Bizet's "Habanera" from Carmen, Saint-Saëns' "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix" from Samson et Dalila, and Korean art songs. Lee will be accompanied by pianist Hugo Kim, who has been her musical partner for many years.
Soprano Sumi Jo praised Lee as "the best mezzo-soprano I know." Lee said she will donate some of the proceeds from the concert to charity.
This concert is a must-see for classical music lovers in Korea. Lee's powerful voice and captivating stage presence are sure to leave a lasting impression on the audience.
